A Key for a COVID Free

 During the year 2020, a pandemic has brought fear and threat to the world. A type of virus was originated at Wuhan, China called the Corona Virus Disease or the so called COVID-19. This disease came from the SARS-COV2 virus and it is proved to be a severe respiratory illness that can affect the lungs which are responsible for our breathing. Covid19 is transmittable disease that can be transferred by an infected person through coughing, sneezing or talking. It is very important for us to be aware of the nature of the virus and how can we control the spread of it.

 The Department of Health has implemented some health protocols in order to avoid the widespread of the Covid19 disease. Since it is a communicable disease, people are restricted to go outside their houses and to have some mass gatherings such as birthdays, weddings, and even burials. They required all people to use face masks and face shields whenever they go outside their houses and also to maintain a 1 to 2 meters social distancing to avoid being contracted by the virus. The government wanted to control the spread of the virus by having a community lockdown to lessen the possible increase of people who get infected. The pandemic has changed the normal lives of people into a more difficult and complicated way of living and many Filipinos are unable to go to their work. In the past few months, many scientists and researchers have formulated some vaccines that can help lessen the adverse effects of the virus into our bodies. Our President have an agreement to these vaccine providers to purchase millions of dozes for the priority residents to be vaccinated such as our frontliners. Not all Filipinos are ready and decided to be vaccinated because they have still doubts about the effectivity and side effects of these vaccines to their body. If I were to choose, I would still subject myself for vaccination because I believed that it can lessen the threat or effects of the virus into my health. I don’t have any reservations within myself because I trust the government when it comes to its accuracy and effectivity. They have also conduct some clinical trials and mass testings of these vaccines in order to find out its side effects and reactions to everyone’s health.

 At the midst of this pandemic, it is a must for us Filipinos to follow the protocols which are implemented by our government because it’s for the safety of everybody. Let’s have some faith to the Lord and have unity because at the end of the day, there will always be a solution to any adversities we are facing and together we will face a Covid free world.
