 Time flies so fast, now we are ending the 4th grading period and the school year 2020-2021. I am able to finish and survive my grade 10 journey. I really did my best so I can say that I am proud in myself. There’s a lot of ideas I discovered some of these are growing and standing in my own. That I can do self-studying even I’m alone and I can cope up with the lessons but not fast like others. I can’t deny the fact that this is really hard but God is always here in my side to help me.  Throughout this journey there are many challenges and problems that I have experienced and encountered. Like rushing to finish my module on time and trying to understand every lesson that is not really easy for me. Sometimes I don’t know how to manage my time effectively. Celebrating the Rich Culture in the Midst of Pandemic

 Binatbatan is about celebrating and giving honor to the abel iloco industry. This festival “Binatbatan” is from the Iloko term batbatin which means separating cotton balls from the seeds of the local fruit tree kapas sanglay. It was celebrated during the first week of the month of the May. It was started in 1993 by the Save Vigan Ancestral Homes Association, Inc. (SVAHAI).   For this year we were not able to celebrate the Binatbatan festival in usual way that we do because of the COVID19 Pandemic and mass gatherings are prohibited to control the spread of the virus. We all know that in this kind occasion there are a lot of activities to celebrate the event like street dancing, showdown competition were they use abel as their costumes. There’s a lot of people and foreign tourists who are coming and visiting to participate and explore the celebration of the festival. But for now that there is a pandemic we need to secure our safety and follow health protocols....

 Our society comprises of men and women. In earlier times, men were considered to be the leading members of a family. They were responsible for earning the livelihood and were the decision takers of the family. People during those times believed that men are more superior to women that they are stronger and capable. It’s very disheartening that women doesn’t have the same treatment of people as with the men. Throughout the years, the people are fighting for a gender-equality society. Every one of us has their own rights and privileges that are indicated in the National Constitution.  When the class started we all don’t know if we were able to come up or adjust in the new learning style. But here we are now, time flies so fast we don’t even notice that we are now in the end of third grading period. We have done many things and achieved a lot during this school year. Throughout the first to third quarter I can say that I have done a good job in my studies. I don’t have any regrets because I know that I do my best. And I have discover in myself that I can cope up and understand the lessons alone but not fast like others.
