Simple celebration

 

 This festival is known to celebrate the culture of Ilocos Sur and this is the best way to promote the one-town-one-product of the Province. Every year there’s a lot of people who are coming to visit and participate the celebration of the said festival. But for this year we only have a simple celebration due to the pandemic. And we need to follow the guidelines and protocols during the celebration of festival to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. 

 Within this year of celebrating these occasion, we are all not use to it because this is so different the way we celebrate this festival in the past year. The past years, there is always a grand celebration of the festival. These celebration helps the people or the exhibitors to have a large income. But all of this has changed because they need to minimize the exhibitors and people to come visit the trade and food fair. Because of this pandemic the Provincial Government strictly mandates the usage of face mask, face shield, safe pass and there is also age limit before you can enter inside the Kannawidan grounds. Everything has change because of the large impact and problems cause of this virus. 

 This Kannawidan Festival helps every people to promote local products so that everyone will know what are the products of every town and cities of the Province. Even there are a lot of challenges we always find way to celebrate and feel the presence of the festival. And hoping that this COVID-19 virus will end soon so that all things will be going back to normal and so we can celebrate every occasion like festival in the way we use to it.
